Rosalia, Washington, in the heart of the Palouse region in Washington state, has a population of 615 people according to the last census. You should not try to get lunch or even a cup of coffee there on a Monday because you will be disappointed. I know I was.
However, it has one thing I very much wanted: a functioning fast charger for my EV.
After several days of frustration with the fast chargers here in the United States, finally things were working. The fast-charger in Rosalia is also especially fast, so despite the absence of any place to eat, it was not difficult for my friend, Ross, and me to kill the time—mainly because there is a somewhat bizarre display at a former garage on the main street.
As it happens, I also had another seamless fast-charge at a town called Sprague later in the day, and our hotel in Moses Lake has a type-2 charger for overnight. So, maybe the USA won’t be quite the challenge it seemed for my EV a few days ago.
Just in case you haven’t had enough pictures of the Palouse, here are a couple more. They will be the last: tomorrow we drive to Seattle
.
Wow. You should be selling those last two to the Palouse tourism board. I want to go there.
Not sure the bearded fellow should make it Rosalia's brochure.
Love love love your photos…
