Autumn has come very late to this part of the world. In Ottawa and much of the region around it, trees that would normally be losing their leaves by now are still green.
For years, my photo buddy and oldest friend, Ross, has been talking about driving up the Ottawa Valley to Fort-Coulonge on the Quebec side and we finally did it yesterday, thinking that the colours there would be further along.
It really is a stunning place this time of year, so the rest of this post is just a few snaps I took when we were up there.
Great photos. That’s one of the things that I miss about the Ottawa Valley and home in Sudbury. The beauty of autumn is definitely missing in the west.
