Great piece, as always. With regard to architecture owing much to modern humanity, I am reminded of Duke Ellington’s comment about music: “There are only two kinds of music: good and bad.”

At the same time, I think of architects (like FLW) as I do others who are creative: that they sometimes create things that endure because their creation touches us in a profound way, and that they reasonably deserve to be celebrated for that.

Hmm interesting place.

Reminded me of a friend's 'hunt camp' in the PA Sproul Forest in the hills, beautiful vistas, with its huge rattlesnakes, beautiful forests and pure water streams flowing right out of the ground.
