On towns in north Ontario, Young does name-check Blind River in “Long May You Run” - which is about a hearse he owned that broke down there - so you can tick “Neil Young” on your trip’s bingo card, even if you don’t get to Kelvin High School….

Glad you've made it safely to 'Winterpeg' before it becomes 'Mosquitopeg'.

As a good friend of mine since primary school, once upon a time Ovide Mercredi's Press Secretary and until recently CEO of APTN,, always jokingly referred to Winnipeg. He lived there for many years. Winnipeg, for its brutal winters and buzzing summers.

Omemee is a small town between Lindsay and Peterborough and where Scott Young lived at least at some point when he was writing for the Globe but that was long after Neil had made it as a musician. I think you are right about Kenora snd would be very skeptical about it being Omemee - no one would describe it as being in northern Ontario.

Out of personal interest, I checked out a pair of vehicle chargers located in front of Winnipeg’s Pan Am pool. One side had been obviously purposely trashed. I fear this will become a common issue. Makers of these chargers will have to make them bullet-proof.
