That’s unfortunate, Paul, and I hope everything is better soon.
A Cleveland Clinic study of its employees in December noted that catching covid again was related to the length of time since a person’s previous infection: the longer the time, the more likely.
Surprisingly - and much disputed, though not disproved - it also found that the risk of covid infection increased with the number of vaccine doses a person had received.
In any case, here’s hoping your current bout continues to be no worse than it has been, and that you are back on the road soon.
Bad luck, Paul. Looking forward to seeing you when you are in Victoria ( and covid free).
Hoping your symptoms won't be bad.
I caught it last October. 18 days of a really bad cold like symptoms. Coughing was like broken ribs but only for 2 days.
Worst was night sweats to the point where sheets were soaked. Someone suggested laying a thick bath towel to sleep on. Made a great difference.
My partner still hasn't fully regained her sense of smell, I never lost mine nor taste.
Take care of yourself.
Sorry to hear of your second bout with COVID. Perhaps 2 bouts and 6 shots will render you immune.....for a while at least!
So sorry to read this has happened Paul. At least (small comfort) that this iteration of covid is not long-lasting. Stay hydrated and safe.
Hope you feel better soon.
