Great to see your photos and to read about your experiences. I lived in Japan for six years, two working in a Japanese company and living with a Japanese family, one in Yokohama studying Japanese full-time and three at the Embassy. And the food was indeed fantastic ! My plan is to go for a month, maybe next May, and to invite my kids to join me. As a life transition as I am most likely retiring next summer and my son is graduating from college… à voir !
Wonderful glimpse of your immersion in Tokyo. Great photos as always and I find your logs very entertaining and informative.
Bye the way, just a few minutes ago CBC Ottawa New at 6 had a short story on the peak of blossoms 🌸 in Japan. Not to be missed as the weather may end it quickly!
Back in Hong Kong now, so I missed the peak of the blossoms! But it was well worth the trip, and it was purely coincidental that I was there when the peak was supposed to happen, so it’s not like I was disappointed.

Thanks Paul. As always, your travelogues are informative and a fascinasting read... accompanied by excellent images.
Thanks, Ross. I have quite a few of Hong Kong now. I’ll post something in a few days.
I like the teamLab videos - looks like the installation has changed since I was there in January!
I think this was the original installation and what you saw was a more recent one.

Fascinating! Thanks Paul for giving me a glimpse into a place I have never visited
Now’s the time because it is (relatively) inexpensive. At least compared with the past.
Great read, certainly want to visit Japan now!
Well worth it.
Fantastic to have read!
Thanks!
