What an awesome link ! I know Paul is going to say that I am waaaay too engaged on his journey but I spent six months working in Banff, my brother worked at Lake Louise and my mother, back in the day, worked at Jasper Park Lodge ! Back in the day the CNR would pay your way out west to work in a railway hotel and pay your way back, of course by train, but only if you stayed the summer. The summer Mom was there Marilyn Monroe came with Joe DiMaggio as she was filming something… Paul, Keith, thanks for these memories, so much fun.
A lovely area for train buffs and regular sightseers. I once had the priviledge of going through the railroad spiral tunnel on a “motorcar”, also called a Jigger. A steep grade. Also, wearing a Jets hat always invites conversation. Fingers crossed for tonight’s game!
